Job summary

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a lab support associate to perform data entry, process specimens, and assist technologists to produce patient results.

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Hours: 10:30am-9pm; variable hours (4-10 hour shifts) rotating weekends and holidays

Essential Functions:

• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
• Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities
• Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday
• Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment

Responsibilities:

• Data entry and answering phones.
• Process specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Process specimens for laboratory analysis.Plates specimens for microbiology testing.
• May perform initial phases of testing.
• Works alongside technologists assisting produce patient results.
• Sorting incoming specimens, prioritizing and immediately processing STAT and other critical tests.
• Must be able to work in two computer systems proficiently.

Qualifications:

• Required Knowledge: Must have good computer skills. Demonstrate manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Required Experience: High School Diploma or higher, Lab experience is desired.

Special Requirements:

• Must have the ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• Must be available for scheduled vacation and emergency coverage as needed.
• Must be available to rotate weekend shifts.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Position requires data background with abilities to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour
• Works in a biohazard environment, practicing good safetyhabits
• Able to sit or stand for longperiods
• Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and works in a productionenvironment
