Job summary

ArmorLube is seeking a dedicated DLC Process Engineer to lead optimization, scaling, and daily execution of PECVD coating lines. You will own the coating lifecycle from pretreatment to advanced plasma parameter tuning for diamond‑like carbon coatings, collaborating with production, quality, and R&D teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years in vacuum coating, PVD/PACVD/DLC.
• Strong vacuum, plasma, and thin‑film knowledge.
• Experience with surface prep and cleaning science.
• Proficient CAD for tooling and fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Optimize PECVD deposition recipes and parameters for DLC coatings.
• Develop and optimize pretreatment protocols for substrate adhesion.
• Design, fabricate, and maintain substrate holders and fixtures.
• Investigate coating failures using tribology, hardness, profilometry, and microscopy.
• Calibrate vacuum systems, mass flow controllers, and plasma sources with maintenance teams.
• Create and update SOPs, batch records, and traveler docs for quality compliance.
• Scale new coating recipes from lab to production.
