American Iron & Metal (AIM) is looking for a Django Developer to join a growing development team in the US. You will build robust web applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to scalable, data-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Django/Python experience and familiarity with Vue.js, REST APIs, and cloud platforms. The role involves ETL work for Power BI and integrations with ERP or data APIs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Django and Python backend development.
• 2+ years of modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js preferred).
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web-based applications using Django and JavaScript frameworks.
• Design and implement new product features aligned with business goals.
• Debug and resolve issues across the full stack.
• Assist in organizing and documenting requirements from business stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and planning sessions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Admin, and Support to refine feature requirements.
• Build ETL pipelines and data transformations for Power BI reporting.
• Develop integrations with external systems (ERP, data APIs).
• Improve overall system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Django Developer to join our growing development team. This role is ideal for a developer with at least two years of experience who is passionate about building robust web applications and collaborating across departments to create scalable, user-centric solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products aligned with business goals.

What you\'re responsible for:

• You will develop, test, and maintain web-based applications using Django and JavaScript frameworks
• You will design and implement new product features and enhancements
• You will debug and resolve issues across the full stack
• You will Assist in organizing and documenting requirements from business stakeholders
• You will participate in code reviews, design discussions, and development planning
• You collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Admin, Support) to refine feature requirements
• You build and maintain ETL pipelines and data transformations for Power BI reporting
• You develop integrations with external systems (e.g., ERP, email, data APIs)
• You can contribute to improving overall system performance, scalability, and reliability

Qualifications

To join our team:

• 2+ years of experience with Django and Python for backend development
• 2+ years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Vue.js)
• Must be in the Pacific Time Zone or Mountain Time Zone
• Proficiency with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Solid understanding of full-stack architecture and deployment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
