Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a detail-oriented Django Developer to join our growing Phoenix-based development team. With 2+ years of experience, you will build robust web applications and collaborate across departments to deliver scalable, user-centric solutions.

You will design features, debug full-stack issues, organize requirements, participate in code reviews, and work with Sales, Admin, and Support to refine needs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with Django and Python for backend development
  • Proficiency with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Solid understanding of full-stack architecture and deployment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new product features and enhancements
  • Debug and resolve issues across the full stack
  • Assist in organizing and documenting requirements from business stakeholders
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and development planning
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Admin, Support) to refine feature requirements
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines and data transformations for Power BI reporting
  • Develop integrations with external systems (ERP, email, data APIs)
  • Contribute to improving system performance, scalability, and reliability

Job Description

We areseekinga detail-oriented and drivenDjango Developerto join our growing development team. This role is ideal for a developer with at least two years of experience who is passionate about building robust web applications and collaborating across departments to create scalable, user-centric solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products aligned with business goals.

What you're responsible for:
  • You will design and implement new product features and enhancements

To join our team:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
