Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Whiteville, NC is seeking an entry level Salesperson to support the DIY business and meet sales objectives. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, familiarity with store systems, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, and suppliers.

The position can be part time or full time, with responsibilities including customer service, battery and wiper installations, and maintaining inventory and store standards. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Basic driving and navigation ability.
• Friendly communication with customers and team members.
• Ability to locate and stock parts and operate inventory systems.
• Knowledge of basic automotive systems and parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone inquiries.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store reach its targets.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes including truck put away and cycle counts.
• Support store cleanliness and stocking tasks as needed.
