Job summary

E&H Ace Hardware in Ohio is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to help customers find the right hardware and DIY products. You will greet shoppers, offer personalized recommendations, and actively support the sales floor to meet shoppers' needs.

You will learn store products, maintain displays, stock shelves, and collaborate with teammates to reach daily targets. A high school diploma or equivalent and strong customer service skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail experience a plus but not required
• Passion for DIY home improvement and hardware products highly valued
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Positive attitude and strong desire to help customers
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with a friendly, helpful attitude
• Provide personalized product recommendations
• Support customers on the sales floor to meet their needs
• Develop strong knowledge of store products, promotions, and services
• Help customers locate products, explain features, and suggest alternatives
• Demonstrate proper product usage when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment
• Stock shelves, check inventory, and assist with receiving deliveries
• Ensure product displays and signage are neat and well-stocked
• Work closely with team members to meet sales goals
• Support management and other associates in daily tasks
• Maintain a positive and energetic attitude contributing to a friendly work atmosphere
• Help achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
• Share ideas to improve sales, product placement, and store performance
