Job summary

Advance Auto Parts seeks a Salesperson to support the DIY business and deliver excellent customer service. You will help customers in-store and over the phone, using store systems to locate parts and manage inventory. The role includes basic automotive knowledge, battery and wiper service, and maintaining product presentation.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers and management
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately in all units of measure
• Ability to work a mix of days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Manage inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, and back stock
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and facing
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Work with POS and parts lookup systems to locate and stock parts
