Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business and help achieve sales and service objectives. This entry-level role requires basic automotive knowledge, strong customer service, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, and external suppliers.

The position supports inventory maintenance, POS and parts lookup systems, and delivers parts to customers as needed. Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends is important.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store meet overall targets.
• Perform DIY services such as battery installations and wiper installations.
• Maintain store product and operational standards, including inventory processes.
• Assist with stocking, back stock, and cycle counts; keep areas clean and safe.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
