Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business, assist customers in-store and over the phone, and help achieve sales and service objectives.

The role requires basic automotive knowledge, inventory familiarity, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. You will conduct DIY services such as battery installation and wiper changes, maintain store standards, and help with inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• Must speak and write English; Spanish a plus.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately for unit measurements and totals.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
