Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business and contribute to sales and service objectives. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, familiarity with store systems, and the ability to source from multiple channels.

Part-time or full-time hours are available, with fleet safety certification preferred. The person will assist customers in-person and by phone, maintain inventory standards, and perform basic DIY services such as battery installations

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
• Speak and write English; Spanish a plus.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
