Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business, leveraging basic automotive knowledge and store systems to drive sales. The role includes delivering DIY services, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced retail setting.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in retail sales, strong English communication, and the ability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends. Training is provided, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and manuals.
• Use basic math accurately for all units of measure; understand decimals and fractions.
• Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.
• 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store reach its targets.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation and wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Manage inventory processes including counts, stock moves and back stock.
