Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Roanoke, VA is looking for an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business. The role focuses on customer service, inventory awareness, and basic automotive knowledge to assist customers both in-store and over the phone.

You will handle DIY services, stock shelves, process purchases at the POS, and work a flexible schedule including weekends. Prior retail sales is a plus, but we welcome motivated newcomers who communicate clearly and enjoy helping customers find the

Qualifications

• Basic selling experience and ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Fluent English; strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and parts catalogs.
• Strong math skills for everyday POS transactions and inventory tasks.
• Ability to work varying days/evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
• Store Cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock
