Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Lanham, MD is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business and meet our sales and service objectives. This entry-level role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive parts knowledge, and customer service skills.

You will perform DIY services such as battery installation and testing, wiper installs, and assist with inventory management and store operations. Position can be part time or full time, with flexibility for days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Basic math and reading comprehension for safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store reach its targets.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation and wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
