Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to support advanced DIY sales, with expert knowledge of store systems, parts, and automotive diagnostics.

You will assist DIY customers in person and by phone, identify parts, and perform services like battery installation and wiper installs, while maintaining store appearance and safety. You’ll handle inventory processes, stock parts, and operate POS and parts lookup systems.

Qualifications

• Automotive parts knowledge and familiarity with safety rules.
• Read and interpret safety and maintenance documents; write simple correspondence.
• 3–5 years of automotive parts experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• English communication; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards.
• Key holder responsibilities (task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
