Job summary

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to provide advanced support for DIY customers, leveraging store systems and deep parts knowledge. You will identify parts, assist with repairs, and drive service quality in a fast-paced retail setting.

This role requires 3–5 years of automotive parts experience, ASE certification is preferred, and the candidate must be able to work various days, evenings, and weekends. We promote equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of automotive systems including engine, brakes, suspension, etc.
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate well with customers and staff.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and parts catalogs; write simple notes.
• Understand and execute written or oral instructions.
• Must successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
• Use basic math in all units of measure; perform calculations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards
• Key holder responsibilities (task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties)
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
