Nemer LLP in Nashville, TN is seeking a driven, detail-oriented full-time Associate Attorney to join our team and handle complex, high-value divorce matters.

You will be client-facing and involved in coaching clients through critical decisions, performing in-depth financial analysis of marital estates, drafting pleadings, and preparing for hearings, mediation, and trial alongside experienced senior counsel. Candidates must be licensed to practice in Tennessee or admitted by November 2026.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Tennessee, or admitted to the Tennessee bar by November 2026.
• 0 to 4 years of legal experience; family law or litigation exposure strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Advise and coach clients on day-to-day decisions arising throughout the lifecycle of their matter.
• Participate in, and over time lead, strategy sessions to assess case status, evaluate options, and align on next steps.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis related to marital estates, including asset identification, valuation support, and division modeling.
• Perform discovery audits and manage complex discovery projects to uncover financial information relevant to client matters.
• Organize and analyze financial documents, tax records, business interests, and other asset-related materials.
• Draft, review, and refine pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other court filings with precision and accuracy.
• Conduct thorough case law research and prepare legal memoranda to support case strategy.
• Draft and negotiate prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
• Prepare correspondence, client summaries, and internal case documentation in accordance with firm protocols.
• Assist in comprehensive preparation for hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations.
• Participate in mediation, settlement negotiations, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Appear in court proceedings as appropriate for experience level.
• Coordinate with experts, financial analysts, and other professionals engaged in client matters.
