Job summary

Thompson Concrete Construction is seeking a Divisional Operations Leader to drive operational execution, leader development, and process consistency across a growing division in Kentucky. This role emphasizes building strong leaders, simplifying systems, and providing practical operational support in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead day-to-day operations across multiple markets, standardize repeatable processes, own scheduling and capacity planning, and coach managers to promote safety,

Qualifications

  • Experience developing managers and frontline leaders.
  • Strong organizational and execution skills.

  • Comfort using technology to support operations and visibility.
  • Interest in long term leadership impact within a growing organization.
  • Experience with HRIS/UKG is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and improve day-to-day operations across multiple markets.
  • Work side-by-side with other Leaders to promote cohesion and consistency.
  • Build and standardize simple, repeatable operating processes.
  • Own scheduling and capacity planning to drive predictability.
  • Coach and support Operations Managers, Production Managers, and field leaders.
  • Improve quality performance, safety consistency, and productivity.
  • Ensure accurate operational workflows for timekeeping, job data, and billing support.
  • Drive adoption of operational systems and reporting tools.
  • Support operational setup and stabilization of new markets.
  • Additional tasks will present themselves as the role continues to evolve

The Divisional Operations Leader will be accountable for operational execution, team development, and process consistency across a growing division. The focus will be on building strong leaders, simplifying systems, and providing operational support in a fast-paced construction environment. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys creating structure, coaching teams, and promoting operational clarity for their team.

Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Lead and improve day-to-day operations across multiple markets
  • Work side-by-side with other Leaders to promote cohesion and consistency
  • Build and standardize simple, repeatable operating processes
  • Own scheduling and capacity planning to drive predictability
  • Coach and support Operations Managers, Production Managers, and field leaders
  • Improve quality performance, safety consistency, and productivity

Skills, Experience & Requirements:
  • Prior experience in construction is not a requirement for this role

  • Excellent computer skills (UKG experience a plus)
