Job summary

TAPCO in Brown Deer, WI is seeking a Divisional Controller to lead the division's accounting operations and close processes in a hybrid role. You will drive accuracy in financial reporting, control environment, and team development while leveraging automation and AI tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

You will oversee month-end and year-end closes, accounting functions, tax compliance, and internal controls, partnering with Finance and IT to optimize systems and reporting quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in manufacturing environments required.
• Experience with software, SaaS, subscription, or ASC 606 revenue recognition preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Demonstrated success leading close processes, process improvement initiatives, and accounting teams.
• Advanced Excel, ERP, reporting, and financial systems proficiency.
• Curiosity and willingness to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee treasury operations, debt accounting, payroll accounting, and fixed assets.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and balance sheet integrity.
• Analyze financial results and resolve accounting issues.
• Oversee internal accounting controls and audit readiness.
