Job summary

The TAPCO Divisional Controller in Brown Deer, WI, is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance for the TAPCO division.

This role leads month-end and year-end close, oversees key accounting processes, and builds a high-performing team while driving automation and responsible use of AI tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in manufacturing environments required.
• Experience with software, SaaS, subscription, or ASC 606 revenue recognition preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Demonstrated success leading close processes, process improvement initiatives, and accounting teams.
• Advanced Excel, ERP, reporting, and financial systems proficiency.
• Curiosity and willingness to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Oversee treasury operations, debt accounting, payroll accounting, and fixed assets.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and balance sheet integrity.
• Analyze financial results and resolve accounting issues.
