Job summary

Ringside Talent is seeking a Divisional Controller to own the financial operations of a division with remote flexibility for candidates within 100 miles of Columbus, OH. The role leads accounting operations, GAAP compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the division.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership, and reside within the specified radius to enable collaboration with corporate teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership.
• Experience in divisional, multi-unit, or decentralized accounting environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently in a remote capacity while maintaining cross-functional relationships.
• Must reside within 100 miles of Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations for the assigned division, including general ledger, close, and reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of divisional financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Partner with divisional leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Analyze divisional financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Manage divisional audit requests and support the broader corporate audit process.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls within the division.
• Manage and mentor divisional accounting staff.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy at the divisional level.
• Collaborate with corporate finance/accounting teams to ensure consistency across the organization.
