Job summary

ATF in the United States seeks a Supervisory Criminal Investigator to serve as the Division Operations Officer (DOO). The DOO will plan, direct, and monitor the functions of the Division Operations Office and supervise staff involved in planning, management, and evaluation of division activities.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to coordinate with HQ, SAC, DIO and ASACs, as well as other government agencies.

Qualifications

• To qualify for the Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Division Operations Officer) position at the GS-14 grade level, candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) by the closing date of this announcement.

Responsibilities

• Direct staff involved in planning, management and evaluation activities for the division office.
• Serve as principal liaison between HQ/field personnel and ASACs, SAC, DIO, ATF and other agencies regarding division operations and administrative programs.
• Develops and evaluates procedures or policies and directs their implementation.
• Brief high-level division and Headquarters officials, advising on policy and resource planning.
• Plan, develop, and execute programs relating to division operational reviews and ensure compliance with established policies.
