The City of Houston's Wastewater / Regulatory Compliance section seeks a seasoned supervisor to lead the wastewater operations environmental compliance program in Houston, TX. Working Conditions The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditions.
This is Houston Public Works Emergency Management position at the Tier II Level.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering or a field closely related to activities of the division.
Experience Requirements
Seven (7) years of progressive professional experience closely related to the activities of the division are required, with at least three of the years in a supervisory capacity.
Substitution: A master's degree in business administration, Public Administration or a field closely related to the activities of the division may be substituted for two years of experience. Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERENCES
Preference will be given to applicants with working knowledge of: TPDES permitting rules and regulations; Discharge compliance reporting; Investigative experience, TCEQ background knowledge, Title V Air and New Source Review permitting and compliance reporting; WWTP Storm Water Program and MS4; Laboratory data management and interpretation; and regulatory agency experience. Have a degree in Engineering, Environmental science/management, biology.
