Job summary

The University is seeking an experienced, visionary leader to serve as its next Head Track & Field Coach. The position provides leadership over a Division I program, guiding student-athletes and coordinating with the cross country program.

As head coach, you will recruit, develop and retain student-athletes, oversee budgeting, equipment procurement, fundraising and compliance with NCAA and conference rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience as a successful track and field or cross country coach.
• Successful recruiting and development of student-athletes from diverse backgrounds.
• Expertise in one or more event areas.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the track & field program and oversee cross country coaching.
• Recruit quality student-athletes and oversee team composition and strategies.
• Oversee budgeting, equipment procurement, fundraising and other duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and university policies and rules.
• Promote student-athlete welfare and safety, including health considerations.
• Work with assistant coaches and cross country coach to align program goals.
