Job summary

Stony Brook University is seeking a Men’s Lacrosse Coaching Assistant to support the Head Coach in administrative duties, athlete development, and recruitment. The role involves identifying prospective student-athletes, maintaining contact records, and helping with on-campus recruiting to ensure NCAA rules compliance.

The position includes on-court instruction, practice organization, team travel coordination, and contributions to game planning and scouting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent acceptable).
• Experience coaching and/or playing at the collegiate level in lacrosse.
• In lieu of college coaching, two years of coaching at high school/pro/ national level plus college playing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in administrative operations of the program.
• Identify prospective student-athletes and support skill development.
• Support on-campus recruiting and manage prospect records for compliance.
• Help develop game plans, scout opponents, and advise adjustments during contests.
