Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Division Finance Manager based in Greensboro, NC. This role blends accounting with operations, analyzing project financial performance, partnering with field teams, visiting job sites when needed, and communicating insights to senior leadership.

You will manage WIP, revenue close, pricing analysis, and develop financial models for projects, with substantial exposure to senior leadership in a dynamic, project-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 3+ years of accounting, finance, or project accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of project/job-cost accounting.
• Experience with WIP and percentage-of-completion accounting preferred.
• Experience in construction, contracting, heavy equipment, industrial services, or another project-based environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze project financial performance, including job costs, WIP, percentage-of-completion, revenue, and profitability.
• Support the monthly financial and revenue close process.
• Review project costs, invoicing, accounts receivable, pricing, and other financial information.
• Analyze financial and operational data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Develop and review spreadsheets and financial models related to projects, customers, pricing, and profitability.
• Partner closely with operations, administrative teams, and field personnel to understand project activity and resolve financial issues.
• Visit job sites and work directly with operational teams to better understand projects and business needs.
• Assist with pricing analysis, modeling, and strategy.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial, administrative, invoicing, and operational processes.
• Support technology, automation, and business-system initiatives.
• Take on additional financial and operational responsibilities as knowledge of the business grows.

We are seeking an experienced accounting and finance professional to join a growing division in a newly created role based in Greensboro, NC. This position will work closely with senior leadership and play an active role across both the financial and operational sides of the business.

This is not a traditional desk-focused accounting position. The Division Finance Manager will analyze financial and project data, partner with operations and field teams, visit job sites when needed, and help leadership better understand the financial performance of projects and the division as a whole. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and strong long-term growth potential.

• Strong communication skills with an outgoing, collaborative personality.
• Willingness to visit job sites and become actively involved in the operational side of the business.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to follow issues through to resolution.
• Must live within 30 minutes of the Greensboro
