Job summary

BNSF Railway is hiring for an Engineering role based in Vancouver, WA. This full-time position supports directing capital maintenance activities across the division with 25%–50% travel and collaboration with Passenger Ops, NOC, and division teams.

Ideal candidates have Tier III certification, Union agreement knowledge, and strong safety focus. Relocation may be considered based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Current BNSF employee with FLS Certification.
• Tier III certification from a Manager of Engineering Certification.
• Working knowledge of railroad union agreements.
• Strong communication skills (oral/written).
• Knowledge of BNSF Engineering Instructions, FRA Track Safety Standards, and MOW General Code of Operating Rules.

Responsibilities

• Direct prioritization, scheduling and execution of capital maintenance across the division.
• Oversee maintenance activities per the Service Outcome Agreement.
• Communicate with Passenger Ops, NOC, Division Transportation, and stakeholders.
