Qualifications

• BS Degree in a technical field, preferably EHS with CEU credits or similar.
• Lead Auditor or internally trained in ISO 14001.
• Strong working knowledge of EHS regulations.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ergonomics and Behavior Based Safety experience a plus.
• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Ability to travel and work out of the office.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Creative ability to ensure safety of employees and the environment while meeting production needs.
• Ability to plan and implement EHS programs.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to work with management and floor associates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs to meet division EHS objectives and targets.
• Key focus on Accident Prevention and Regulatory Compliance.
• Manage energy use reduction, waste minimization, and reporting.
• Coordinate all EHS training and corrective actions from Corporate EHS audits.
• Serve as onsite contact for Corporate EHS and manage EPA/OSHA actions as directed.
• Maintain EHS records and ensure policy adherence.
• Chair ISO 14000/18000 Committees if applicable.
• Support customer EHS requirements (e.g., IMDS).
• Develop and track internal EHS metrics, plans and goals.
• Report to division management and attend staff meetings on EHS matters.
• Train new facility EHS Coordinators and participate in EHS conferences.
