Position overview
Salary range: The salary range for this position is $470,000-$593,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series to serve as the Division Director for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology.
This division is internationally known for its research and clinical expertise and maintains one of the most prestigious fellowship programs in the country. The Director will be nominated for the title of the Philip J. DiSaia Endowed Chair in Gynecologic Oncology and will lead the division in the development of programs in the NCI designate Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as various affiliate sites in the Southern California area.
The position will be recruited as a full-time appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level depending on qualifications, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will have a proven record of research activity, a broad experience in the latest diagnostic, treatment, and surgical modalities in gynecologic oncology, as well as a commitment to education and experience in administrative leadership. The successful candidate will provide mentorship to junior faculty. They will oversee basic and health sciences research and will participate in strategic and financial planning for divisional growth. They will also have demonstrated efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workforce and the patient population we serve.
Responsibilities will include a clinical practice of the full range of gynecologic cancer surgery, chemotherapy, and ambulatory practice; supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows; participation in and mentorship of trainees in research activities (determined by the individual faculty members interest and expertise); as well as other general divisional and departmental services.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application): Candidates must possess an M.D. degree, California medical license (at time of start date), American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology eligible or certified, and successful completion of sub-specialty training in Gynecologic Oncology with subsequent Specialty Board candidacy or certification.
