Job summary

Argonne National Laboratory’s Advanced Photon Source invites an Associate Division Director to lead the AES portfolio, overseeing Information Solutions, Information Technology, and Mechanical Design and Drafting groups. The ADD reports to the AES Division Director and steers strategy, safety, and operations across a broad technical landscape.

The role requires a strong track record in managing multidisciplinary teams, shaping organizational strategy, and delivering complex engineering programs

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mechanical systems engineering, engineering physics, or related technical discipline.
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years in engineering or related field with at least ten (10) years leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership and mentorship to leaders of Information Solutions, Information Technology, and Mechanical Design groups.
• Set strategic direction and translate into actionable roadmaps with milestones and measurable outcomes.
• Drive execution, monitor milestones, and address risks to maintain schedule and quality.
• Lead AES contribution to enterprise digital initiatives and modernization of engineering data platforms.
• Champion modernization of mechanical design and drafting capabilities (CAD/PLM/digital workflows).
• Establish and report metrics on budget, service delivery, and customer outcomes.
