Job summary

Argonne National Laboratory’s Photon Sciences directorate seeks a Division Director for the X-ray Science Division to lead beamline development and strategic instrumentation programs. Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant scientific/technical field with 15+ years of experience.
• Background in developing x-ray beamlines or complex instrumentation is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams and manage senior-level partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead beamline development strategy to leverage enhanced source performance.
• Provide high-level direction for instrumentation R&D, optics, detectors and software.
• Collaborate with APS partners and Argonne divisions to align programs with APS strategy.
• Participate in senior management to ensure safe, efficient operation of XSD programs.
