D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Division Counsel to oversee and coordinate division legal matters with an emphasis on land acquisition. The role requires handling contracts, title issues, and development documents while coordinating with outside counsel and the title company.

The candidate must be a licensed attorney with 5–7 years of experience, possess strong MS Office skills, and be willing to travel overnight as needed. This is a full-time position within the company’s division legal team.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctor Degree required.
• Licensed attorney in good standing with state bar association(s).
• 5–7 years of experience and/or training in related law fields.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to sit for long periods and travel as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal advice related to land acquisition, land use, entitlement, zoning and development; draft and review contracts and land documents.
• Review and revise homebuyer contracts; advise on RESPA, FHA/VA and other compliance.
• Review HOA documents and provide HOA-related guidance; review marketing contracts and programs.
• Assist in managing division litigation with outside counsel; participate in hearings and settlements.
• Advise Division HR on employment policies and safety programs; assist with training.
