Job summary

Primary Recruiting Services is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for a large operating division at our Alpharetta office. You will ensure US GAAP compliance, manage internal controls, and present results to division leadership.

The role requires 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, strong analytical and leadership skills, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong month-end close, financial reporting, and US GAAP experience.
• Experience preparing forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, and management reporting.
• Experience supporting a division or operation with cross-functional partners.
• Ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
• Experience mentoring accounting and finance professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting processes for a large operating division.
• Ensure financial statements and accounting activities comply with US GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
• Prepare and review monthly financial results, including budget-to-actual analysis, and present key findings.
• Lead the division’s forecasting process, including annual forecasts, five-year plans, margin and overhead analysis.
• Partner with operations and functional leaders to evaluate financial performance and support strategic decisions.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requests and ensure timely, accurate information.
• Facilitate workflows between the division, corporate accounting, and shared-services teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve close procedures, forecasting, and reporting efficiency.
