Confidential Opportunity : Division Controller

Location : Denver, CO area | Full-time | Construction Services

We are currently partnering with a leading construction services company to identify an experienced Division Controller for a national, private equity-backed business.

Key Responsibilities :

The ideal candidate will report directly to the Corporate Controller and serve as the primary accounting lead for one of the company’s core business segments. The role includes full responsibility for managing the monthly close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining cost discipline at the project level. This position requires a strong command of accounting operations, cost accounting, and ERP systems, as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational teams. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach, a commitment to process improvement, and the ability to drive financial accuracy and visibility within a growing, multi-entity environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of progressive experience, with 3–5 years in public accounting (CPA preferred)
  • Background in construction, residential services or other job-cost environments preferred
  • Prior experience managing and streamlining the full close process and owning a P&L
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple entities and consolidate financial results
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, margin analysis, and operational P&L ownership
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred; experience in ERP optimization or implementation is a plus
