Qualifications

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Division Controller to join our manufacturing team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to take the helm of our financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities, ensuring the company's financial health and compliance. This position will require a robust understanding of the manufacturing and agriculture industries, as well as a strong grasp of financial software such as SAP and Excel.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all general ledger activity and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of month-end close.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess any changes necessary.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain financial controls and policies.
  • Use financial data to prepare and analyze reports on financial performance and forecast future financial health.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to strategize on financial planning and budgeting.
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a workplace environment conducive to growth and development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's Degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within the manufacturing and/or agriculture industries.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Significant experience with bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and the audit process.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Solid experience in leading and managing accounting teams.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple functions and activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
