Division Chief – Pediatric Pulmonology

Location: Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Division Chief to build a pediatric pulmonology program in a leading academic medical center, leading and expanding clinical, educational, and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, innovative, and operational leadership with an entrepreneurial mindset suited to program development in an academic setting.
• Build and lead a new Pulmonology Division within the Department of Pediatrics, establishing clinical programs, workflows, and infrastructure.
• Recruit one additional pediatric pulmonologist to support growth.
• Be responsible and accountable for clinical and academic performance, including faculty mentorship.
• Demonstrate a strong record of collaborative leadership and commitment to excellence in clinical care, research, innovation, and academic service.
• Be comfortable with the challenges and opportunities of building programs within an urban and diverse academic environment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
• Eligible to be licensed to practice Medicine in Illinois required.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship program.
• Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology.
• Hold credentials meriting an Associate Professor or Professor faculty appointment.
• Demonstrate ongoing research achievement, community engagement, and educational excellence.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $297,000 - $393,000.
