Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in downtown Chicago invites applications for the Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology. This is a unique opportunity to lead development of a comprehensive clinical and academic program within an established academic medical center.

The successful candidate will provide strategic, innovative leadership, build a new division within the Department of Pediatrics, and recruit additional pulmonology faculty.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO required and licensed to practice in Illinois.
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship.
  • Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology.
  • Credentials meriting an Associate Professor or Professor faculty appointment.
  • Demonstrated research achievement and educational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership with an entrepreneurial mindset for program development.
  • Build and lead a new Pulmonology Division within the Department of Pediatrics, establishing programs and workflows.
  • Recruit one additional pediatric pulmonologist to support growth.
  • Be responsible for clinical and academic performance as the division matures, including mentorship.
  • Demonstrate collaborative leadership and excellence in clinical care, research, and education.
  • Build programs within an urban, diverse academic environment.
