The Division Chief of Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology position offers an outstanding opportunity to build a specialized clinical program, expand the scope of the GI practice and enhance collaborations across Fox Chase.

The Position
The Division Chief will oversee the GI Medical Oncology Program, ensure high-quality patient care, integrate cutting-edge research into clinical practice, and implement the latest treatment protocols for various GI Cancers. The Chief will lead and participate in clinical trials and research initiatives aimed at discovering new treatments and improving patient outcomes for GI Cancers. The Chief will provide direct patient care (there are no call or inpatient responsibilities), and will train and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students. Important to the role of Division Chief will be engaging with the broader medical community and participating in national and international conferences to share knowledge and advancements in GI Cancers.The Division Chief is integral to both the clinical and academic missions of Fox Chase.

Fox Chase Cancer Center is located in a residential neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on the border of Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. The closest neighborhoods to the center are Fox Chase, Rockledge, Cheltenham, Jenkintown, and Mayfair. The area offers many housing options, including quiet suburban living and trendy urban neighborhoods, and housing is generally more affordable than in other major Northeastern cities.
