Job summary

Premier Health, in partnership with Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, seeks a Division Chief to lead academic health platforms across clinical care, research and education in Southwest Ohio.

The role requires MD/DO board certification, proven leadership experience, license to practice medicine, and the ability to align clinical programs with education and scholarly activity across the system.

Qualifications

• Education: M.D. or D.O. with board certification in area of specialty.
• Experience: 3–5 years or more of leadership experience.
• Licensure: Active medical license.
• Active faculty or meets criteria to become faculty of BSOM

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary and innovative leadership to the Division and Institute, advancing the mission.
• Promote and maintain standards of excellence in compliance with national standards.
• Stabilize and grow the physician/AP workforce within the Division and Institute.
• Lead teaching, clinical and educational programs within medicine and related disciplines.
• Engage in cross-department communications within Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and Premier Health.
• Promote community health initiatives within the department and institute.
• Recruit, develop, and oversee section chiefs.
• Foster a culture of teaching, engagement, accountability and collaboration.
• Oversee hospital call schedules to ensure seamless clinical coverage.
• Participate in budget planning and fiscal management to promote financial sustainability.
• Collaborate with dyad partner to support operational management.
• Improve physician and provider engagement via annual survey and strengthen referrals.
