Responsibilities include:

1. Clinical Oversight: Provide leadership for pediatric anesthesia services, implement evidence-based practices, and foster a culture of teamwork.
2. Education: Develop and advance pediatric anesthesia curriculum, and mentor residents and fellows.
3. Research: Promote pediatric research initiatives and foster multidisciplinary collaborations.
4. Leadership & Collaboration: Provide visionary leadership and collaborate with hospital leadership to optimize patient care.

Minimum Education & Qualifications:

• MD, DO, or equivalent degree
• Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesiology
• Eligible for medical licensure in Iowa
• Board-certified or in certification process in Anesthesiology
• ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• American Board of Anesthesia Pediatric Certification
• Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia
• Previous supervisory experience
