Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting/finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong knowledge of cash flows, financial reports, and annual reports.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to organize and manage long-term projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Accounting Department including AP, Subcontractor Payables, Payroll, Housing Receivables, job cost and general ledger to GAAP and policy.
• Assist Controller in preparing departmental budgets, housing, capital asset, land development, and cash flow budgets.
• Assist in financial forecasting and budget vs. actual analysis.
• Assist in meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements for internal and external users.
• Assist in overseeing tax returns (Personal Property, Sales/Use, Real Estate).
• Design and implement procedures to assure policy compliance.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and respond to audit reports.
• Approve expenditures and invoices within company guidelines.
• Work with managers to ensure consistent GL application and cost coding.
