Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Division Assistant Controller providestimely information and financial analysis to senior management for the purpose of evaluating new business opportunities, strategic planning, revenue and reimbursement enhancement, cost and utilizationmanagement, and improved operational performance. The Assistant Controller is also responsible for the accounting functions of the Division Office. The Assistant Controller will interact with various personnel of the Division office and facilities in order to complete other projects as assigned.

In this role you will:

  • Provide accurate and timely financial analysis of hospital/division operations as assigned

  • Prepare materials for presentations to senior management as assigned

  • Assist with the preparation of annual budget, audits and tax work papers

  • Complete monthly close operations for the Division Office – including allocation the facilities, journal entries, fixed asset accounting, reconciliations and SOX requirements

  • Maintain confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient, employee and financial data

  • Ensure outside vendors who provide services/supplies are paid in accordance with the invoice and within company policy

  • Assists Controller with annual balance sheet and SOX reviews for all facilities within the Division

  • Complete all other projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degreepreferred

  • 5+ years of healthcare accounting experience

  • Ability to access, understand and explain financial reports

  • Ability to plan, organize and manage resources within prescribed timeframes

  • Ability to prepare and present executive reports

  • Demonstrate an understanding of and adheres to the Code of Conduct

  • Foster team work by offering assistance to others

  • Communicate and interact with others in a professional, responsible, cooperative and positive manner at all times
