Georgia-Pacific is seeking a qualified professional for the role of OSB/CP Divisional Asset Centered Operations (ACO) Leader, focusing on the Drying, Energy, and Environmental areas of OSB operations. This is a remote, home-based position in the Southeastern US with travel to OSB and CP facilities. The individual will primarily be responsible for optimizing performance and developing remote monitoring strategies across 7 manufacturing plants within our OSB/CP Division. The successful candidate will understand the facilities’ performance and collaborate with site teams to develop improvement strategies.

Our Team

We have seven sites across the US and Canada, including OSB, Particleboard, and MDF.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the development of process centerlines to indicate performance and assess assets across our network.
  • Work with sites to develop strategies for end-of-life and underperforming assets.
  • Collaborate closely with plant and corporate personnel to identify opportunities and create value.
  • Support process operations through process control systems and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and improve remote monitoring strategies for critical assets.
  • Promote growth of analytics and new technologies to solve problems and enhance performance.
  • Use loss accounting to identify opportunities and prioritize work.
  • Work with the Division Operations Development Leader on learning content.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Five or more years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Five or more years of process support experience, including troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Experience analyzing process data to optimize equipment performance.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (roughly 50%).
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Understanding of reliability practices, process modeling, and controls.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft applications.
  • Experience in OSB manufacturing.
