Job summary

Century Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in the Los Angeles area. The role focuses on managing daily accounting operations, month-end through year-end closes, and delivering accurate financial reporting.

You will lead a team, optimize processes, and ensure strong internal controls while supporting tax filings and cross-functional initiatives. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field, extensive experience in accounting operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and close processes within a large or complex environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition, fixed assets, lease accounting, and financial controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Managerto join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $110,000 to $135,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger activities.

Lead month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide insights to support business decisions.

Manage accounting staff and support vendor payment processes, expense reporting activities, and operational accounting functions.

Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support special projects, tax filings, and cross functional initiatives.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

Previous experience managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and close processes within a large or complex business environment.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition, fixed assets, lease accounting, and financial controls.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Must be located within commuting distance of the work location.

Qualifications:

Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop, mentor, and manage accounting teams.

Previous experience with project costing, asset intensive operations, equipment accounting, or similar accounting environments.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Prior experience implementing process improvements, system enhancements, and accounting automation initiatives.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and leadership levels.
