Job summary

Status: Contingent Upon Contract Award

Position Overview

This position is contingent upon contract award. Resicum International LLC is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates in anticipation of a potential contract award supporting the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), 720th Special Tactics Group (720 STG), Special Tactics Training Squadron (STTS) at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Selection, hiring, and employment are contingent upon successful contract award, funding authorization, and completion of all required pre-employment requirements.

Resicum International LLC is seeking an experienced Dive Instructor / Dive Equipment Technician to support Special Operations training operations by providing combat diving instruction, dive supervision, equipment maintenance, and life‑support system sustainment.

The Dive Instructor / Dive Equipment Technician serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for delivering classroom, pool, open‑water, and field instruction while ensuring the operational readiness, maintenance, safety, and reliability of specialized military diving equipment. The position supports the development of future Air Force Special Tactics operators by providing expert instruction in combat diving tactics, techniques, procedures (TTPs), and operational risk management.

This position requires work in physically demanding and hazardous environments including pools, open‑water locations, maritime training areas, aircraft, tactical vehicles, and remote training sites throughout the Eglin Test and Training Complex (ETTC). Temporary Duty (TDY) travel within the Continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii may be required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom, pool, open‑water, and field instruction supporting Special Operations combat diving training.
  • Conduct training on combat diving tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Serve as a Combat Diver and Dive Supervisor during training events.
  • Instruct students on diving safety, emergency procedures, and operational risk management.
  • Conduct practical evaluations and provide mentorship to students throughout training events.
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and quality assurance of military diving equipment and life‑support systems.
  • Maintain diving equipment in accordance with applicable USSOCOM, U.S. Navy, and Department of Defense standards.
  • Conduct hyperbaric chamber operations and ensure compliance with established safety procedures.
  • Maintain equipment accountability, maintenance records, and required documentation.
  • Assist government personnel with curriculum improvements and instructional development.
  • Support additional Special Tactics training requirements as assigned.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational readiness.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of one of the following Government‑approved USSOCOM Combat Diver training programs:
    • U.S. Air Force Combat Dive School, Hurlburt Field, Florida;
    • U.S. Army Special Forces Underwater Operations Course (SFUWOC/SFUWOS), Key West, Florida; or
    • U.S. Marine Corps Combatant Diver Course, Panama City, Florida.
  • Current Combat Diver qualification within the previous three (3) years.
  • Qualified Combat Diver and Dive Supervisor from one of the approved combat diver training programs listed above.
  • NATO or allied nation combat diver qualifications do not satisfy this requirement.
  • Qualified and experienced in hyperbaric chamber operations.
  • Demonstrated experience performing preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and quality assurance of military diving life‑support systems.
  • Certified Dive Medical Technician through a USSOCOM‑recognized program, including one of the following:
    • U.S. Army Special Forces Diving Medical Technician (ATRRS Course 011-ASIQ5)
    • U.S. Navy Diving Medical Technician (CANTRAC Course A‑433‑0020)
    • U.S. Marine Corps Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman (Diving)
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding duties in austere maritime and Special Operations environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required installation access, credentials, and government authorizations.
  • Ability to travel as required, including Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of multiple USSOCOM Combat Diver qualification programs.
  • Former U.S. Army Special Forces Combat Diver (18 Series), Air Force Special Tactics Combat Diver, U.S. Marine Corps Combatant Diver, or Naval Special Warfare Combat Diver.
  • Previous Combat Diver Instructor or Dive Supervisor experience.
  • Experience maintaining military diving life‑support systems and specialized dive equipment.
  • Previous instructional experience supporting USSOCOM or Air Force Special Operations training programs.
  • Prior operational experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF).
  • Previous Department of Defense contractor instructional experience.
  • Experience developing lesson plans, instructor guides, and training materials.
