Job summary

Havre Public Schools is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2025-26 school year to provide therapy and speech-language services district-wide. You will contribute to IEP development, create Plans of Care for Medicaid-eligible students, select materials, and schedule therapy sessions within a collaborative Special Education team.

The role requires a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, Montana licensure, and the ability to work with diverse student needs.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Montana License certificate to practice Speech Language Pathology.
  • Montana Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), including measurable goals and objectives for each student’s needs as applicable to the educational setting.
  • Verifies students’ Medicaid eligibility and writes a Plan of Care for those who are eligible.
  • Provides direct speech therapy using materials specific to communication disorder(s).
  • Maintains accurate daily records and data collection to document students’ attendance, progress, including requirements for Medicaid billing.
  • Communicates effectively with parents, students, teachers, and other professionals.
