Fayette County Public Schools is seeking a Districtwide Special Education Paraeducator to support students at Tates Creek Elementary School in Lexington, Kentucky. The role focuses on assisting certified teachers, promoting safe and inclusive learning environments, and helping students access quality instruction.

The position requires a minimum of 48 college credits or equivalent paraeducator certification, with duties including health-related student support, data recording, and collaboration

Competenze

• Minimum 48 college credit hours or successful completion of the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment or completion of an Associate's Degree.
• Experience working with youth in organized settings and some instructional experience with children and parents with special needs, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic backgrounds.

• Assist certified teachers in implementing instructional practices and maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Assist in implementing health-related procedures and maintaining student health records as required by program.
• Maintain classroom records, attendance, and materials; operate office equipment and technology as directed.

• Follow teacher instructions and contribute to planning and problem solving with staff.
• Provide emotional support and positive guidance to students.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and participate in professional development for paraprofessionals.
