Job summary

Trenton Board of Education is seeking certified Special Education Teachers for multiple districtwide opportunities. We are especially interested in candidates qualified to teach secondary Mathematics, Science, and English/ELA.

Position Type: Full-Time (10-Month Employee) with a salary range of $71,525 to $117,475 annually. Benefits include Medical, Prescription, Dental, and enrollment in the New Jersey State Pension Program. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Valid New Jersey Special Education certification or eligibility for the appropriate certification is required.
• For secondary assignments, must hold Students with Disabilities (2475) with a secondary content-area endorsement (English, Mathematics, Biological Science, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physical Science, Physics).

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements written instructional plans meeting diverse student needs.
• Creates and maintains a learning environment conducive to development.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives.
• Demonstrates commitment to the district's educational philosophy and objectives.
• Establishes positive relationships with colleagues, students, and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
