The position includes providing health-related support as needed, maintaining accurate records, and following individualized education plans. 183 work days per year with a typical hourly schedule and pay range listed in the salary schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 48 college credit hours or Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment or completion of an Associate's Degree.
• Experience working with youth in an organized setting and some instructional experience in a classroom environment working with children and parents with special needs, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified teachers in implementing instructional practices and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Support health-related procedures and maintain accurate records as required by health plans and policies.
• Maintain student records, attendance, and classroom materials while following district policies.
• Monitor student progress in academic, social, and behavioral areas and report concerns to teachers.
• Implement teacher-developed plans and behavior management strategies under supervision.
• Contribute to planning and professional development activities for paraprofessionals.
