SANDERSVILLE ELEMENTARY in Lexington, KY seeks a Districtwide Special Education Paraeducator (1.0 FTE) to support certified teachers and students in a diverse special education program.

The position is hourly with a 183-day calendar, reporting to the principal. Work includes classroom support, data recording, and health-related procedures, with emphasis on instruction and safety for students with special needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 48 college credit hours or completion of the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment or an Associate's Degree.
• Experience working with youth in organized settings and some instructional exposure with children with special needs.

Responsabilités

• Assist teachers in implementing instructional practices and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
• Maintain student records and assist in data collection and progress reporting.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and supervising students on buses and during activities.
