Job summary

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District, located at East Professional Center, seeks a dedicated staff member for Food Service operations in our Nutrition Services team. Responsibilities include inventory control, cash handling, and coordinating with supervisors to maintain smooth meal service across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certification required.
• Willingness to travel to various locations within the district.
• Experience in school nutrition preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from the Director and Area Food Supervisor.
• Assist school nutrition services during vacancies or absences.
• Provide training and support to schools on lunchroom policies and procedures.
• Train staff on policies, procedures, and food safety.
• Direct cafeteria staff when Assistant Lunchroom Manager is absent.
• Record monthly inventory in the computer system and ensure accuracy.
• Manage cash receipts for breakfast, lunch and à la carte items.
• Oversee receiving and storage of deliveries and proper handling.
• Communicate with supervisors and staff to address issues.
• Ensure kitchens operate smoothly when team members are absent.
• Support Assist Lunchroom Managers to improve efficiency.
• Perform duties in line with health, safety, and district policies.
